In a significant development, the Lokayukta police have carried out a series of raids on multiple residences linked to survey supervisor KT Srinivasa Murthy from the KR Puram taluk office. The operation, launched on Tuesday, aims to uncover evidence regarding alleged illicit wealth accumulation beyond his known sources of income.
KT Srinivasa Murthy, who also holds five liquor licenses, is facing accusations of acquiring assets disproportionate to his declared income. A case has been officially registered against him for the acquisition of assets that allegedly surpass his lawful earnings. The police action spans across 14 locations in Bengaluru and Tumkur, focusing on both properties and houses connected to Srinivasa Murthy.
The searches conducted on Tuesday have revealed additional properties of interest. Notable among these is a 2,000 square-foot plot situated in Hennur village, assessed to be valued at an astonishing Rs 83.45 lakh. Further investigation into this property has uncovered the presence of a ground floor and a second floor, collectively valued at Rs 60 lakh. In addition, another property identified is a 1,142 square-foot plot situated in Kottanur village, estimated to be worth Rs 10 lakh.
These developments have stirred substantial interest, raising questions about the alleged misconduct and the possible sources of unexplained wealth.
