Yashwantpur MLA ST Somashekhar Met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Must read

Yashvantpur MLA and former minister ST Somashekhar recently met with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to discuss various development works in the Yashvantpur assembly constituency. During the meeting, Somashekhar presented requests for urgent development projects in the area. One of the key requests was for the construction of a new maternity hospital in Kengeri Hobli. Although a location for the hospital has been allocated by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), the Bangalore Bruhat Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has not shown readiness to initiate the construction. This lack of a maternity hospital in the area has led to inconvenience for residents, particularly young girls who are forced to travel to Vanivilasa Hospital, which is far away. As a result, they often end up in private hospitals, incurring substantial medical bills. The request was for the Chief Minister to intervene and direct the BBMP to proceed with the construction of the maternity hospital. Additionally, residents of Mylasandra and Kengeri suburbs raised concerns about heavy traffic on LC10 in Kengeri and requested the construction of a railway flyover to address the traffic congestion. ST Somashekhar urged the Chief Minister to initiate a survey and prepare a report on the feasibility of constructing the flyover to alleviate the traffic issues in the area.
