Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign Conducted By The Maratha Light

As part of the dynamic campaign Meri Maati Mera Desh launched by Department of Youth Affairs to commemorate 77th Independence Day intending towards honoring the serving and retired defence personnel of the nation, The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre, spearheaded the campaign at village Belgundi, Bigarni & Muchandi. The event witnessed active participation of Army personnel who actively engaged with the villagers through interactive activities including motivational talk by Gallantry Award Winners. The campaign also offered an opportunity towards felicitating the veterans and addressing their grievances. A Tree Plantation Drive was also undertaken by the school students and the ex-servicemen at the villages. The local residents expressed their gratitude for the Army’s initiative and positive impact it had on the society. Meri Maati Mera Desh offered a true tag line Mitti ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan and the campaign has left an indelible mark on the villagers, sparking a renewed sense of determination and solidarity among its inhabitants. The Army’s dedication towards the community engagement serves as a shining example of how collaboration between Army and Civilian Society can uplift the sense of responsibilities towards Nation Building.
