The Government Tool Room and Training Centre in Chitradurga has invited applications for its Tool Room Machinist training course. Under the AITT SCP and TSP scheme, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who have passed SSLC can receive free one-year training. Applicants must be between 16 and 35 years old. Young men and women from all categories who have passed or failed SSLC can also join the course by paying a minimum fee. Interested candidates can contact the GTTC at Kunchiganahal, behind Kanive Maramma Temple, on Old Bangalore Road. The centre has encouraged eligible youth to apply and gain useful technical skills.
