Health is true wealth says Cooperative Society Chief

RAMANAGARA

Bidadi Multipurpose Primary Rural Cooperative Society organised a large free health check-up and surgical camp in Bidadi, highlighting the importance of regular health care and early disease detection. The programme was held as part of Cooperative Week 2026 celebrations, marking five years of the Union Government’s Ministry of Cooperation, under the theme “Prosperity Through Cooperation.”

Inaugurating the camp, Society President Jeevan Babu said that health is the greatest wealth in a person’s life. He urged people to take proper care of their health and undergo regular medical check-ups without delay. He added that such health camps play an important role in identifying hidden diseases and supporting timely treatment.

He also suggested that people should undergo health screening at least once every six months to maintain good health. He encouraged villagers and cooperative members to make full use of free medical services provided through such community initiatives.

The camp saw participation from doctors of Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Hospital, Harohalli, Shankar Eye Hospital, and other specialist medical teams. Services included blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, ECG tests, eye examinations, and consultation for surgical needs. A large number of villagers from the surrounding areas attended the camp and received medical advice.

Organisers said the initiative aimed to make healthcare more accessible to rural communities and promote preventive healthcare practices.

Several cooperative leaders, doctors, and representatives from partner organisations were present at the event. They appreciated the effort and said such programmes help strengthen community health awareness while also promoting cooperation between institutions and the public.

The event concluded with organisers expressing gratitude to the medical teams, volunteers, and participants for making the camp a successful community health initiative.
