Persistent systems plans Nagarro acquisition deal

New Delhi

Persistent Systems announced a major takeover offer to acquire German digital engineering company Nagarro SE in a significant overseas deal by an Indian IT firm. The company will offer €81 per share in cash through its subsidiary Galaxy Germany Holding after signing an agreement with Nagarro. Nagarro’s management supports the proposal and plans to recommend it to shareholders after reviewing the offer details. The firm’s largest shareholder has also agreed to sell its entire 21 percent stake. Persistent said the merger will improve its presence in Europe and strengthen operations in North America. The combined group aims to deliver better AI, engineering and digital transformation services to global clients. The acquisition is expected to create a stronger technology company with wider capabilities in cloud, data and enterprise solutions. The transaction is likely to close by late 2026 or early 2027, subject to approvals and meeting required conditions. The deal marks a new step in expanding India’s role in the global technology market and digital services sector
