A bus carrying passengers fell into the Seine River near Paris, prompting a rapid emergency response from local authorities.
Officials confirmed that all four people on board were rescued and are safe.
The incident took place in Juvisy-sur-Orge, when the bus reportedly left the road and ended up in the river. Those inside included the driver, her trainer, and two passengers, according to transport authorities.
Emergency services, including firefighters and rescue teams, were quickly deployed to the scene. They managed to extract all occupants from the vehicle without reported fatalities or serious injuries. The swift response was credited with preventing a potentially more serious outcome.
After the rescue, the bus remained partially submerged and was seen floating close to the riverbank later in the day as recovery operations continued. Authorities worked to secure the area and prevent further risk to nearby traffic and river activity.
The regional transport authority for Île-de-France said an investigation has been launched to determine how the incident occurred. Officials are examining possible causes, including mechanical failure, human error, or road and environmental conditions at the time of the accident.
