Heavy rain battered Bengaluru on Wednesday, flooding Metro stations and disrupting public transport across several parts of the city. Waterlogging near Jayadeva Hospital Metro station on the Yellow Line left stretches toward Silk Board partially non-motorable, forcing vehicles into a single lane and causing major traffic snarls. Premises around Silk Board Metro station were also inundated, adding to congestion already worsened by the closure of the double-decker flyover. At KSR Bengaluru City Junction railway station, passengers struggled to find cabs and autorickshaws amid the rain chaos. A fallen tree near the station’s third entrance also damaged parked vehicles. Flooding was reported near under-construction Pink Line stations along Bannerghatta Road.
