A 41-year-old woman has lodged a complaint with Ashok Nagar police after her HP laptop worth Rs 59,000 was allegedly stolen from her locked house on Anthony Nichols Street. According to the complaint, the incident occurred after the family left home. The woman said she locked the house around 10.15 am before leaving for work. About an hour later, her younger son returned and found the laptop, purchased for his elder brother’s studies, missing along with its bag. After failing to locate it, the family suspected theft. Police have registered a case under BNS Section 305 and are examining CCTV footage.
