India-UK deepen military co-op for future

LONDON

India and the United Kingdom have agreed to deepen military cooperation during a visit by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan. This is the first official UK trip by an Indian CDS. Talks focused on closer military ties and new age warfare areas such as cyber security, space, and intelligence sharing. Both sides said future conflicts will rely more on technology, and forces must be ready for fast changing threats. They also discussed a defence industrial roadmap to co develop equipment. Leaders highlighted the importance of the Indo Pacific region and the need to keep it stable and secure. General Chauhan met ministers and experts, and held discussions on modernising India’s armed forces. The three day visit included events and meetings with industry leaders. The two nations are expected to expand joint exercises and share more information, aiming to build stronger, reliable security for the future.
