According to District Commissioner Dr. Anand K, the reorganization aims to streamline administrative functioning and improve governance at the grassroots level. The order outlines changes in the jurisdiction of multiple Gram Panchayats across various taluks, including the inclusion and reassignment of several villages. Under the revised structure, villages from different taluks such as Alamel, Sindagi, Talikoti, and Basavana Bagewadi have been reorganized and grouped under respective Gram Panchayat limits. The move is expected to ensure better delivery of civic services, improved coordination among local bodies, and more effective implementation of government schemes. Officials stated that the reorganization has been carried out after careful consideration of administrative requirements and local needs.
