Vijayendra claimed Kariappa’s win ensures justice, highlighted party unity, and criticized Siddaramaiah for ineffective budgets and political pressures
Davanagere
State BJP President B. Y. Vijayendra expressed strong confidence that party candidate Srinivas Das Kariappa will win the Davanagere South by-election. He said people are ready for change and will reject money and muscle power in politics.
Speaking at a meeting held at the District Weavers Community Hall, Vijayendra said voters are unhappy with the lack of development in the constituency. He claimed that despite supporting Congress leaders in the past, people have not seen real progress. This time, he said, voters are determined to support the NDA candidate.
Vijayendra also said that if Srinivas Das Kariappa wins, justice will be given to all sections of society. He added that party members are now united after some initial confusion during candidate selection. This unity, he said, has sent a strong message across the state.
Targeting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Vijayendra said that even after presenting many budgets, there has been little benefit to the state. He also claimed that recent political developments have put pressure on the Chief Minister.
He further said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards development and unity. He praised former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa for his work and support to different communities.
Responding to criticism within the party, Vijayendra said he believes in unity and will focus on ensuring victory for the BJP candidate. Several party leaders and members attended the meeting and showed support for the campaign.
