Ustaad Bhagat Singh sees weak opening week

The film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has recorded disappointing box office collections in its first week, falling short of expectations.

Released on March 19, the film earned around Rs 77 crore across India during its opening week. However, the response remained dull in most regions. Overseas collections were also weak, especially in North America, where the film managed only about 780,000 dollars, roughly Rs 7.2 crore.

The total worldwide collection for the first week stands at approximately Rs 89 crore, indicating a slow start for a film featuring a major star. Trade analysts say the film’s performance has been underwhelming compared to expectations.

The movie features Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna in key roles, while R. Parthiban plays the antagonist. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film attempts to combine action with a patriotic theme.

Despite its strong cast, the film has struggled to connect with audiences. Industry observers believe the second weekend is unlikely to bring major improvement in collections. As a result, the film is now heading toward a flop verdict unless there is a sudden rise in audience response in the coming days.
