In Lakkavalli Gram Panchayat (GP) limits, a series of development initiatives have been launched under the NL-2025 rural development work plan, bringing renewed momentum to infrastructure and civic improvements across several villages.

According to Panchayat Development Officer K.A. Raghavendra, the NL-2025 programme has approved five major works, including road upgrades, drainage systems, and community infrastructure improvements across the region. The works span 21 tribal habitations, 10 Scheduled Caste localities, and 5 Scheduled Tribe settlements, ensuring coverage across all priority areas.

Officials noted that numerous Gram Panchayat regions—including Lwmooru, Vaddarahalli, Chikkamandavalli, and surrounding hamlets—have been identified for key interventions. These include road asphaltation, installation of streetlights, drainage construction, school facility repairs, and drinking water pipeline enhancements.

Raghavendra stated that the Panchayat has already completed preliminary inspections and that funds have been released to begin implementation. He said the development push is essential to uplift rural living standards and address long-pending civic challenges.

He also highlighted that earlier works under the 2016–17 development grants had brought improvements worth ₹1.5 lakh, and the new NL-2025 plan aims to extend similar benefits on a larger scale. The administration is coordinating with engineers and village leaders to ensure timely execution of the latest proposals.

Local leaders and officials, including Gram Panchayat President Malleshappa, Vice President Veena, members Kumar, Jayamma, Dinesh, Raghu, and others, participated in the inspection and planning meetings. They emphasized the need for transparent implementation and community monitoring.

As per the schedule, 26 different works will be undertaken across the GP jurisdiction under the current allocation. Officials assured that all projects will be completed within the stipulated timeframe to benefit residents at the earliest.

The Panchayat also urged villagers to cooperate with the work teams and report any irregularities immediately so that corrective measures can be taken.
