Number of devotees going to Tirupati increases, huge demand for KSRTC buses

BENGALURU

The deity at Tirupati has devotees from all over the country and abroad, and there are lakhs of devotees in Karnataka as well. Especially during Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Christmas holidays and New Year, the number of devotees traveling to Tirupati from the state has increased, and there has been a huge demand for KSRTC buses.

Tirupati Thimmappa, who is worshipped as Balaji, the Kali Yuga incarnation of Vishnu, is the idol of millions of devotees. There are 280 buses plying to Tirupati daily from four transport companies in Karnataka. Currently, the number of devotees going to Tirupati has increased due to Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Christmas holidays and New Year. Meanwhile, private buses are charging higher fares. In view of this, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has said that more buses will be launched by four transport companies including KSRTC in the coming days.

A large number of people visit Tirupati during festivals, holidays and New Year. During these times, they have to wait for three to four days to get darshan. Therefore, KSRTC has demanded that TTD issue darshan tickets soon. Responding to this, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy said that they have been placing their demand for issuing darshan tickets soon before the TTD administration for a long time.
