The Department of Kannada and Culture is organizing an Art Talent Festival to nurture and encourage artistic skills among children and young people. The festival aims to provide a platform for participants to showcase their talents in various art forms and gain recognition at the district and regional levels.

For the children’s and adolescent categories, individual competitions will be held in classical music, light music, visual arts, folk songs, and Hindustani/Karnataka classical music. Each category has been assigned specific time slots to facilitate smooth conduct.

For the youth category, competitions include literary recitation, classical dance, light music, Hindustani/Karnataka classical music, visual arts, and instrumental music, with drama conducted as a group event. Age eligibility criteria are as follows: children – 8 to 14 years, adolescents – 14 to 18 years, and youth – 18 to 30 years. Winners securing first, second, and third positions at the district level will be considered for the zonal-level competitions, with first-place winners advancing further.

All participants must register their names at the Office of the Assistant Director, Department of Kannada and Culture by October 25. The department has ensured that competition schedules for all categories are predetermined.

For additional information, participants can contact the Assistant Director’s office at 118, District Administration Building, Chaparadakallu, Devanahalli Taluk, or call 080-29560059 during office hours. This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for young talent to gain exposure and contribute to the preservation and promotion of Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage.
