Nowadays, caste-caste is increasingly happening everywhere. We are not following what Kanakadasa and Vishwaguru Basavanna said, do not fight on the basis of caste. If we had followed what Kanakadasa said, our country would have been a brotherhood today, said MP Basavaraja Bommai.
He spoke after performing the Bhoomi Pooja and laying the foundation stone for the Kanaka Samudaya Bhavan being constructed under the Infrastructure Development Project on Shidenura Road in Byadgi town of the district.
The greatest of slaves is Kanakadasa. We have a great legacy of slaves. I would never ask anyone to be born in this caste. Birth is accidental, death is certain. But, life is present. Once upon a time, those who had land ruled the world. Later, those who had money ruled the world. That’s why the British ruled us. Now, whoever has knowledge is ruling the world, he said.
The milk-loving community is a community as sacred as milk. The children of this community must become educated if they want to compete with other children in the world. From knowledge, we have come to science, from science to technology, and from technology to artificial intelligence. The governance and political power of the world are now moving towards knowledge. Kanakadasa’s knowledge was amazing. No matter how many tests, Kanakadasa was the one who emerged victorious. We are proud to belong to such a legacy, he said.
MLA Basavaraj Shivannavara said, we should abandon the feeling of superiority and inferiority in society and live in unity. We should join hands to build a strong society. The community can move forward through education, work, and unity, he said.
