KPTCL Conducts Essential Maintenance to Strengthen Bengaluru Power Network
The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has announced a planned power outage on Tuesday, September 23, in the North Bengaluru area due to emergency maintenance works at the Yallar Bande 66/11 kV sub-station. The scheduled disruption will occur between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., during which electricity supply will be temporarily suspended in several localities.
Residents of Kaval Bairasandra, LR Bande Main Road, Gandhinagar, Chinnanna Layout, Ambedkar Layout, Anwar Layout, Cauvery Nagar, Ambedkar Medical College, Sultanpalya, Rankanagar, Kanakanagar, KHB Main Road, Bhubaneswari Nagar, Mutt Auditorium Nagar, V Nagenahalli, Periyar Nagar, Periyar Circle, Shampura, Kushal Nagar, Modi Road, Modi Garden, Doddanna Nagar, Muniveerappa Layout, Sugar Mandi, Uppina Mandi, Muneshwar Nagar, and surrounding areas will be affected.
Officials from KPTCL emphasized that the maintenance work is crucial to ensure reliable and safe electricity supply in the region, particularly to prevent unexpected outages in the future. Residents have been advised to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions to minimize inconvenience. The corporation has assured that repair teams will work swiftly to complete the maintenance on schedule and restore normal power supply immediately after the work is concluded. Authorities also requested public cooperation during the outage period, urging citizens to avoid overloading electrical appliances once the power is restored. This announcement forms part of KPTCL’s ongoing efforts to upgrade and maintain its transmission network, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to Bengaluru’s growing residential and commercial areas.
