Actor Ken Karunas, son of veteran actor Karunas, has stepped into a new role in his career by directing and acting in his upcoming film Kadhalan. Known for his impressive performance in Dhanush’s Asuran and several other supporting roles, Ken is now taking on the challenge of balancing both lead actor and director in this project.
The film will introduce three newcomers—Sridevi, Anishma, and Priyanshi Yadav—as the female leads. Sridevi, already known for her work in the Telugu film Court, will be making her Tamil debut with this project. National Award-winning actor Suraj Venjaramudu is also part of the cast, adding further weight to the film.
Kadhalan revolves around school life, focusing on the emotions, friendships, and struggles of adolescence. Shot in and around Chennai, the story is designed to resonate with the younger generation. With its themes of youth and relationships, the film aims to capture the spirit of growing up.
On the technical front, G.V. Prakash Kumar has been roped in as music director. Known for his youthful and catchy compositions, his soundtrack is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
