Melbourne
Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed on Saturday that all fan zones for Indian supporters during the upcoming white-ball series between Australia and India are sold out, a full 50 days before the matches begin. This early sell-out underscores the growing excitement for the much-anticipated series.
Public tickets for the matches in Sydney and Canberra have also sold out, and CA has urged fans to act quickly for tickets to remaining games, which are selling fast. Joel Morrison, CA’s Executive General Manager of Events & Operations, expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled with the response from fans. The strong passion and enthusiasm are evident, and we expect a vibrant atmosphere for these high-profile games.”
The series starts on October 19 with the first ODI at Perth Stadium, followed by matches at Adelaide Oval and Sydney Cricket Ground on October 23 and 25. India’s cricket icons, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, are expected to feature in the ODI series, their primary international format after stepping away from Tests and T20Is.
India’s white-ball tour will also include a five-match T20I series beginning on October 29.
