The Bengaluru City Police (BCP) and Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) held a public interaction programme titled Meet the BCP & Meet the BTP at R.V. Dental College Auditorium, J.P. Nagar. The event aimed at strengthening communication between police and citizens while addressing law and order as well as traffic-related concerns.

Citizens actively raised a wide range of civic and safety issues, including the menace of stray dogs, increasing cases of drug abuse in public spaces, problems caused by two-side parking, encroachment by street vendors, abandoned vehicles, incidents of night thefts, poor garbage disposal, rising traffic congestion, and the prevalence of potholes across several stretches of the city

In addition to civic issues, participants urged the police to focus on improving facilities for personnel on duty. Requests included the installation of more CCTV cameras to ensure surveillance in vulnerable areas, setting up additional police chowkis for faster response, and better arrangements to manage crowds and processions during the upcoming Ganesha Chaturthi festival.

Senior police officials, including the Commissioner of Police and Joint Commissioner of Traffic, assured citizens that all feedback would be forwarded to the respective Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), and station house officers for immediate consideration and follow-up action.

The police reiterated their commitment to building a safer and more responsive Bengaluru through active public participation. Citizens welcomed the initiative, describing it as a vital step in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.
