David returns to top 10, Brevis hits career-best

New Delhi

Australia’s hard-hitting batter Tim David has climbed back into the top 10 of the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings, moving up six spots to 10th. This rise comes after David scored back-to-back fifties in Australia’s ongoing series against South Africa. His teammate Cameron Green also improved, rising six places to 17th.

South Africa’s Dewald Brevis made the biggest jump, soaring 80 spots to a career-best 21st after scoring 125 not out off 56 balls. This is the highest T20I score by a South African man and the highest against Australia in this format. His teammate Tristan Stubbs moved up 12 places to 27th.

In bowling, Josh Hazlewood, Kagiso Rabada, and Lungi Ngidi all made significant gains. New Zealand’s Matt Henry reached a career-best third spot after outstanding performances helped his team sweep Zimbabwe in a Test series. Debutant Zakary Foulkes also entered the rankings at 61st.

In ODIs, West Indies’ Evin Lewis and Pakistan’s Abdullah Shafique moved up in batting, while bowlers Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales, and Abrar Ahmed climbed the bowling rankings. The latest update reflects exciting shifts in cricket’s top players.
