BENGALURU
It has been two months since our government came to power. Work is on to rectify the mess done by the corrupt BJP, Minister Priyank Kharge said.
Taking a dig at the BJP, he said, as the adage goes, even if the rain stops, the rain will not stop, the fruits of the chaos of the BJP’s four years of corrupt rule are still haunting people. The BJP, which had claimed to have provided water to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission, is now exposing its own lies. Let the BJP continue this fact-checking work like this, he said.
The state government’s share in the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme is 55 percent, Central Government’s share is 45 percent. But credit of 100 percent is given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Jal Jeevan Mission was a mission of corruption during the BJP regime. The people of the state are still facing the consequences of . this, he said.
During the BJP regime, the rural development minister had resigned on charges of corruption and a contractor had to give up his life for 40 per cent commission in the rural development department. I am cleaning up the dirt that is so deeply attached to my department, he said.
We are bringing industries and investments to Karnataka that had turned to other states during the BJP regime. We are creating a conducive environment for job creation. Kannadigas have given a gift of complete contempt to the provocation of azaan, halal, hijab. It is a BJP-free South India. However, the people of the country are sure to reject the BJP for continuing to build a false edifice without learning its wisdom, he said.
