Baiappanahalli police has arrested a former employee of Nokia company, BE engineer, who was burglarizing a house. Mahamani (37) from Tamil Nadu arrested. 29 lakhs from the accused. Gold jewelery worth 512 grams was seized. The accused, who hails from Tamil Nadu, studied Electronic Engineering (BE) and was working at Nokia Company in Chennai. After being fired by Nokia company in 2019, he has made it a habit to steal from home as he could not find any job. In the morning, he used to identify the locked houses and at night, he used an iron rod to steal from the door of the house.
The police said that he was involved in robbery and theft cases in various stations of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. In 2019, the accused had committed two thefts in the police station. Later, he stole from different parts of the city and was caught by the HSR Layout police in 2020. He was in jail for the last two years. Information was collected about the accused in the old case, a warrant was obtained and the police took him into custody. The police said that the gold jewelery was seized on his information. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Station Officer Prashant.
