T Narasipur Bandh Called For Clash Between Two Groups, Youth Killed

A scuffle between two groups ended in the murder of a youth at Srirampura Colony in Narasipur town late on Sunday night. The youth has been identified as Venugopal Nayak (32), a resident of Srirampura Colony in Narasipur town. Venugopal is learnt to be an activist of the Youth Brigade.

On Saturday, a verbal spat broke out between two groups during Hanuman Jayanti celebrations. Some people present at the spot pacified both sides. This was followed by another scuffle and one person was killed.

DySP Govindaaju visited the spot.  Narasipura Police visited the spot and started an investigation. Police are camping at the spot. The body has been sent to Narasipur Public Hospital for post-mortem. Hundreds of youths had gathered in front of the Narasipur Public Hospital.

  Thinker Chakravarthy Sulibele visited the Narasipura Public Hospital. Venugopal offered condolences to the family. They demanded that the accused be arrested at the earliest. A case has been registered at T Narasipur Police Station.

  Pro-Hindu organisations have called for a suo motu bandh in T Narasipur to protest against the murder of a youth brigade activist. In view of this, the owners of the town have extended their support to the bandh without opening the shop. Tension prevailed in Narasipur town following the murder. As a precautionary measure, the Police have made elaborate security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents.
