Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade has condemned the gruesome murder of Digambara Jainmuni Acharya Sri 108 Kamakumara Nandi Muni Maharaj at Chikkodi in Belagavi district. Â Â Reacting to this, he said, I am deeply pained by the incident. This is the first time in history that such a killing of digambar munis has been done.
In Jainism, the mistakes of the previous birth or the mistakes of this birth have to be experienced by the upasargas. The sages do not know for what reason this upasarga is. It is learnt that the perpetrators of the crime have been arrested. I congratulate the government and the police for this. The guilty should be punished immediately. Moreover, the government should provide protection to other sages, he said.
