Kannada film actor late Dr. Rajkumar’s wife Parvathamma Rajkumar’s brother SA Srinivas’s son Suraj Kumar (35) lost his leg in an accident near Chikkahundi gate in Gundlupet taluk. He has worked as an assistant director in a few films.
Suraj Kumar, who had gone on a solo trip to Ooty, was hit by a tipper while he was returning when the accident occurred. The injured has been admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru. The right leg was completely crushed and removed, the sources said. The incident took place under Begur police station limits.
Suraj Kumar is the son of renowned film producer SA Srinivas, younger brother of Parvathamma Rajkumar. He worked as an assistant director for films like Airavata and Tarak. Suraj kumar had undergone training in acting at Neenasam and Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar’s Tent Cinema School.
The accident occurred yesterday afternoon and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mysuru. A case has been registered at Begur police station in this regard. An FIR has been registered against the tipper driver and owner and the police are investigating the case. Shivarajkumar and his wife Geetha visited a hospital and enquired about the health of Suraj Kumar.
