City police on Friday night arrested a man on charges of murdering his wife in Yeshwanthpur. Sharath, the accused, carried his wife’s body to a hospital on Wednesday claiming she was unconscious. He cried in front of the doctors pleading them to treat his wife. The doctors had informed Sharath that his wife Priya died a few hours ago. Yeshwanthpur police had registered a suspicious death case. The murder came to light following the postmortem report. Priya had died because her spinal cord was broken, according to reports. When police questioned Sharath, he allegedly admitted to assaulting his wife which resulted in her death. Priya was Sharath’s second wife and they used to fight often about his first marriage, according to the police.
