An incident took place in the city’s Amrithalli where a person was attacked with beer bottles after celebrating the Congress party’s unprecedented victory in the assembly elections. VK Ranganath (33), a food delivery agent, had arranged a party for his father. Ranganath’s three roommates also attended the party. Discussions on political issues have started while drinking alcohol. The room mates were BJP supporters. During the debate, Ranganath praised the Congress party, and this time the trio got angry. They immediately attacked Ranganath with beer buckets. After the incident, Ranganath was treated at a local hospital and filed a complaint against Madhusudhan, Manoj Kumar and B Prasad who assaulted him. The Amrithalli police have registered a case under Section 324 and other sections of the IPC against the trio. As such, it is known that two of the three have been arrested. Along with the three of them, I lived near the Iswara temple in Amritahalli. The attack required six stitches in the neck. I escaped from danger. Now I live separately. The three were also food delivery agents.
