BBMP Preparations For Elections; Voter List Verification Starts From July 21

BBMP has started preparations for the elections following the instructions of the Election Commission. As mentioned for January 1, 2024, the final voter list is to be published on January 5. Thus, training will be given to Election Officers, Assistant Election Officers and Polling Officers from June 1 to July 20. Polling officers will visit houses from July 21 to August 21 and collect information. From August 22nd to September 29th, the voter list revision and polling booth selection activities will be held. From September 30 to August 16, the draft of the voter list will be prepared. The draft list of voters will be published on August 17. Opportunity to submit objection from 17th to 30th November. A special campaign will be held on two Saturdays and Sundays. By December 26, all objections will be reviewed and action will be taken. The final list of voters will be sent to print on 1st Jan 2024. The announcement said that the final list of voters will be published on January 5.
