There was a lot of noise in the Hanur assembly constituency during the Corona crisis. Some people had helped the people of the constituency in terms of elections. Not only the huge health camp, job fair but also Jan Sankalpa Yatra started from here. However, BJP’s defeat was caused by giving tickets to those who were in the constituency and who came to the constituency as guests without organizing, at the insistence of the influential leaders of the state.
Hanur BJP candidate Dr. Preethan Nagappa fell to the third position by securing 35,567 votes in the 2023 assembly elections. Dr. Preethan Nagappa called a meeting at Kamagere residence on Sunday. In the meeting, the reasons for their defeat and poor polling were discussed. In addition, there are rumors that some leaders of the party have held a meeting at the resort and suggested that they work for the candidate of another party.
It has been heard that a relative of an influential BJP leader has instructed some of his supporters not to work for party and work against BJP candidate. Not only that, it is also being analysed that the machinations of some people who were recognized in the party were the reason for the party’s poor polling, and it is said that there is a possibility that some BJP leaders will raise the issue in the thanksgiving meeting. After 7 days of the election results, a thanksgiving meeting has been called which has led to many discussions and the future development has to be seen.
Reasons for failure are:The pro-Congress wave in the state did not take some of the leaders of the candidate party into confidence, and even after the ticket was announced, they did not start campaigning immediately.
