Odia Album Actress Ruchismita Guru Found Dead

In yet another case of suicide in the state, Odia album actress Ruchismita Guru was found hanging inside a house at Sudapada in Odisha’s Bolangir on Sunday. According to reports, Ruchismita, a resident of Talapalipada in Bolangir who has also acted in some album songs, had gone to her uncle’s place at Sudapada with her mother, a few days ago. On Sunday evening, her body was found hanging with a saree from a ceiling fan inside a room of the house.
On being informed, Bolangir Town police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation. Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, police suspect that she committed suicide. Police are questioning the family members to get some clues regarding her mysterious death. Efforts by the cops are on to ascertain what prompted her to take the drastic step.
Meanwhile, Ruchismita’s father told the media that she would get depressed when she was unable to get any programmes. My daughter had big dreams and was trying her luck in Ollywood. I lost my son, who was also under treatment for depression, about four years ago but Ruchismita’s death has come as a big blow for me. It is worth mentioning here that popular DJ Azex, aka Akshaya Kumar Maharana, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Kharvel Nagar in Bhubaneswar on March 19. He was also found hanging in his room.
