While there was speculation that Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Beast’ would release on Tamil Néw Year weekend, it has now been officially announced by Sun Pictures that the film will indeed release on April 13.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has Pooja Hegde and Selvaraghavan in important roles. Touted to be an action-comedy, the film has been censored with U/A certificate. In fact, fans of the actor crashed the CBFC website for censor details recently.
The runtime of the film has also been revealed and ‘Beast’ will be two hours and 35 minutes long, 15 minutes shorter than his previous films. Now that two songs – ‘Arabic Kuthu’ and ‘Jolly O Gymkhana’ – composed by Anirudh has been released, fans can’t wait for the trailer to be released. A source in the know tells that there will be no audio launch. However, fans are still waiting for a special interview of Vijay before the film’s release.
It is also to be noted that Yash’s pan-Indian film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ will also be releasing on April 14, with both the much-expected films clashing on the same weekend.
