Peshawar
On Friday that four terrorists were killed by Pakistani security personnel in two different incidents in the unrest-ridden Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. In the Nisatta village of the Charsadda area on Thursday, militants with heavy weapons attacked a police mobile van. In response to intelligence about the suspects’ hiding place, a police team hastened to the Gujarabad region of the district. Three militants have been killed during a gunfight between the police and the terrorists. The militants’ possession of weapons and ammunition was discovered, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanobar Khan, who also noted that those murdered were actively engaged in terrorist actions against the security forces.
They were sought after in connection with an attack on a police station on January 21 that left one officer dead and two others injured. They were also wanted in connection with a December 3 attack on a police station in the Nowshera district of last year. In another incident in the neighborhood, a terrorist opened fire on police officers at a security checkpoint in the Shabarra area, prompting authorities to shoot and kill him. After being instructed to stop for a search, the militant started shooting at the police. The occurrences occurred just days after a suicide bomber from the Pakistani Taliban detonated himself inside a secure mosque in Peshawar, killing over 100 people, mostly police officers.
