The horrifying video of Tyre Nichols’ beating in Memphis, Tennessee, which led to his death earlier this month, has enraged and grieved US President Joe Biden, according to statements made by Biden. Tyre Nichols was an African American kid.
Social unrest has risen nationwide as a result of the Memphis police department’s release of the gruesome footage on Friday night. Despite the three arrests and a few brief altercations between police and demonstrators, protests in New York City were mainly peaceful.

In order to reduce tensions, the White House held a conference call with the mayors of numerous cities, including those from Atlanta, Aftab Pureval, and Cleveland, Justin Morris Bibb.
Like so many others, I was horrified and incredibly saddened to watch the horrifying footage of the beating that killed Tyre Nichols. Soon after the video was made public on Friday, Biden stated, It is yet another sad reminder of the profound terror and anguish, the grief and the tiredness that Black and Brown Americans feel every single day.
Tyre Nichols, 29, is shown being kicked and beaten by Memphis police in videos of the event on January 7 as he begs them to stop. On January 7, police stopped him when he was en route home due to alleged reckless driving. Five Memphis police officers are shown holding Nichols down and assaulting him with their fists, boots, and batons in the recordings that the authorities released on Friday.
Three days later, Nichols, the father of a 4-year-old kid, passed away in a hospital. He was employed by a FedEx location. Vice President Kamala Harris said the ongoing problem of police misbehavior and the use of excessive force in America must cease immediately, joining Biden in his call for accountability and transparency.
