Jerusalem
According to a statement from the Iran-backed organization Hezbollah, the deadly attack on a synagogue in east Jerusalem on Saturday was applauded. Seven people were killed and three others were injured. Hezbollah, which has been under the direction of its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah since 1992, is credited with being one of the first Islamic resistance organizations in the Middle East to employ a number of strategies, including suicide bombing, assassination, the capture of foreign soldiers, murder, and hijacking.
In addition to Hezbollah, the Islamic Hamas movement also praised the attack by firing into the air, while in the West Bank, vehicles honked and fireworks were launched into the air.
