Renowned diabetologist Dr. Shafiulla of Koppal has been honoured with the prestigious VK Health Excellence and Honour Award 2026 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to diabetes care and healthcare services.
The award was presented at a felicitation ceremony held at a private hotel in Bengaluru on Sunday. Former Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai and Karnataka Urban Development Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah jointly presented the award to Dr. Shafiulla.
Dr. Shafiulla, who heads the City Sugar Clinic in Koppal, was recognised for his dedicated service in the field of diabetes management and his significant contribution to improving healthcare delivery. The organisers acknowledged his commitment to providing quality medical care and creating awareness about diabetes among patients.
