New standard system for Mandya resident certificates

MANDYA

The Karnataka state government has introduced a uniform system to streamline the issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs). Mandya Deputy Commissioner held a special meeting directing all Tahsildars and regional administrative officers to handle public applications swiftly, transparently, and strictly under the newly issued official state guidelines.

Citizens needing a PRC can submit their applications online via the official portal or visit local centers, including Bapuji Seva Kendras, Gram One, Karnataka One, and Atal Ji Janasnehi Kendras.

The administration emphasized that this unified procedure aims to provide equal access for all eligible residents while eliminating administrative hurdles. District officials reaffirmed that no compromises on official state rules will be tolerated during thorough document checks. Therefore, citizens are strongly encouraged to submit complete applications with accurate documentation at designated local service centers to receive their official permanent residency certificates smoothly, rapidly, and without hassle.

Guidelines and eligibility criteria:

  • Eligibility Rules: Applicants must be born in Karnataka, have resided or owned property in the state for at least 10 years, or served in government roles for 7 years.
  • Family Connection: Individuals married to a valid PRC holder or eligible through their parents or spouse can also apply for certification.
  • Required Verification: Applicants must attach valid documents such as birth certificates, academic records, voter lists, ration cards, or property records alongside an official affidavit.
  • Fast Processing: Local Tahsildars must conduct thorough document verification and issue verified certificates without unnecessary delays.
