KMC Hospital Attavar wins top quality honors

MANGALURU

KMC Hospital, Attavar, has officially achieved the prestigious National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation under its strict new 6th Edition standards. This major milestone highlights the prominent healthcare institution’s unwavering compliance with top-tier national benchmarks for patient safety and clinical excellence.

The large 610-bed multidisciplinary facility initially secured it’s first-ever NABH accreditation back in 2022. Successfully transitioning to the highly rigorous 6th Edition framework proves the hospital’s relentless drive to provide international-standard care to the community. At a special ceremony hosted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), top leadership officially handed over the formal accreditation certificate to Dr. Chakrapani, the hospital’s dedicated medical superintendent.

“This achievement is the wonderful result of months of collective hard work across every single department,” Dr. Chakrapani stated proudly. He deeply thanked the clinical teams, nursing staff, infection control committees, and administrative personnel for raising the bar in healthcare delivery.

Dr. Sudhakar Kantipudi, COO of MAHE Teaching Hospitals, also praised the workforce, noting that KMC Hospital, Attavar, sets an excellent quality benchmark for the entire regional healthcare ecosystem. The newly implemented NABH 6th Edition guidelines place massive emphasis on patient-centric care, enhanced infection control protocols, and superior clinical outcomes. These updated Indian standards are fully aligned with global benchmarks recognized by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), ensuring that local patients receive world-class medical treatment right in their neighborhood.
