Actor Vishal Hegdae, who was last seen in Yuvarathnaa, has begun shooting for his new film, titled Gana, in the heritage city Mysuru. The actor is sharing screen space with Vedhika in the film, who is the female lead. The film also has Prajwal Devaraj and Krishi Thapanda in lead roles, and is directed by debutante Hari Prasad Jakka.
Vishal, who recently joined the ensemble cast, says, “My role is set in a bygone era, which is why I sport a retro look. That is all that I can reveal about my character right now. It’s an interesting role which will entertain everyone.”
The actor is enjoying his time shooting in Mysuru, as he even took his time off to visit Chamundi Hills. “It’s so refreshing to be surrounded by lush greenery. When it comes to the ease of shooting, there is barely any traffic, so it’s possible to reach any location in half an hour. Even though I had a couple of days off, I decided to stay back in Mysuru to soak in the city,” he says.
Upcoming projects Vishal will also be seen in Ringa Ringa Roses, in which he shares screen space with Vijay Raghavendra. “I play a doctor for the first time. My character is someone who always works to serve society, remains energetic and boosts the confidence of his patients so that they recover fast,” he shares. On teaming up with Vijay, he adds, “Since we both debuted together in Ninagagi, we are close friends, so it doesn’t feel like work with him. Our camaraderie helps us shoot with ease. “
Vishal also has the female-oriented film Hope, which sees him pairing opposite Shwetha Srivastav. “It’s a performance-driven role in an intriguing subject,” he shares
