New civic office planned in Banashankari

In a significant step towards strengthening civic administration, Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner Shri Ramesh K.N conducted an inspection of government-owned vacant land situated opposite the iconic Banashankari Temple. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the site’s feasibility for constructing a new, modern office building for the South City Corporation.

The Commissioner carefully reviewed the layout, location advantages, and accessibility of the land parcel, which lies in a bustling part of the city known for both its cultural significance and rapid urban growth. The construction of a new office in this central locality is expected to streamline administrative work, improve accessibility for citizens, and reduce pressure on the current office facilities, which are reportedly operating at full capacity.

Officials accompanying the Commissioner highlighted that the proposed office would not only serve as a hub for better governance but also enhance public service delivery through improved infrastructure, digital facilities, and citizen-friendly amenities. Residents in the Banashankari area welcomed the proposal, noting that a local civic office would bring faster resolution of issues related to sanitation, water supply, roadworks, and grievance redressal.

The South City Corporation Is now preparing to submit a detailed project proposal, including budgetary requirements and design plans, to higher authorities for approval. Once cleared, the project is expected to commence in phases, with a timeline to be announced soon. The initiative reflects the Corporation’s continued commitment to building stronger civic infrastructure and providing timely services to the people of Bengaluru.
