Bengaluru Police Engage Students and Drivers in Safety Education Program
In an effort to promote road safety and smooth traffic movement, officials from the Bengaluru Traffic Police conducted a series of awareness sessions focusing on traffic rules and safe commuting practices. The initiatives targeted both students and professional drivers, aiming to instill a culture of discipline and responsibility on city roads.
At the Traffic Management Centre, a Police Sub-Inspector delivered an engaging lecture to students of St. John’s School, Fraser Town. The session highlighted the importance of adhering to traffic rules, understanding road signs, and maintaining caution while commuting. Students were educated on the potential risks of reckless driving, over-speeding, and ignoring road regulations, while officials encouraged them to become responsible road users and advocates for traffic safety within their communities.
In a separate session, Traffic Police officials addressed drivers from the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), emphasizing the critical role of professional drivers in maintaining traffic discipline. The lecture focused on preventive measures, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of following safety protocols to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce accidents. Drivers were also encouraged to serve as role models for safe driving practices, both on and off duty.
