As a part of Azadi Ka Amrita Mahotsava, Yogathon-2022 program will be held on September 17 with the aim of popularizing yoga among the youth and creating a Guinness record, said Deputy Commissioner Dr R Selvamani.
Addressing a press conference called to give information about Yogathon 2022 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall, he said that the government has organized a record yoga exercise on September 17 in 25 centers of the state with about 5 lakh people at one time.
The Yogathon was organized in collaboration with District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Youth Empowerment and Sports, AYUSH Department, AYUSH TV, Miracle Drinks, KMF and for the successful organization of this programme, various committees consisting of district level officials have been formed and given responsibility.
This program will be held at the new airport near Sogane and it is intended to be practiced by about 25000 yoga enthusiasts and youth. Individual and organizational registration is compulsory for the participants of the programme.
The officers were instructed to prepare a list of all participating students from all High School, Undergraduate, Graduate College, Medical College, Ayurveda, Nursing Colleges, Technical, Agricultural, Medical and Pastoral Colleges of the city and upload it on the website with the signature of the Principal, then the QR code should be collected and kept.
Free bus arrangement and breakfast arrangement and free t-shirt arrangement for all the candidates have been arranged by the district administration. All registered participants will be given a Guinness World Record certificate. Earlier in Rajasthan, 1.52 lakh people joined together to do a yogathon and made a Guinness record, everyone wanted to cooperate to break this record.
