BMSIT Yelahanka, welcomed first semester MCA students recently. MCA has become much sought after computer science course along with engineering due to recent IT boom and lot of demand was there for joining the MCA course. Principal Dr. Mohan Babu GN inaugurated the first sem classes by lighting the camp. Vice Principal Dr. Govindaraju HK, Dean Academics Dr. Anil GN, MCA Dept Head Dr. P. Ganesh and others were present in the event.
Dr. Mohan Babu GN in his presidential address said that, BMSIT being an NBA and NAAC accredited institute, it has committed for high quality education and research. Over the years institute has got many laurels for maintaining its consistent track record in various areas like teaching, placements, infrastructure, industry interaction etc. BMSIT has got Platinum certificate for its industry interaction by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). This provides more exposure for the students to interact with the industry and to understand the need of the industry. BMSIT is known for very good placements over the years and students always kept the bar high by fetching jobs in prestigious companies. More workshops and training will be conducted for the students to pursue their entrepreneurial dream. MCA department also has a R&D division, which help the students to gain more insight about research and cutting edge tools & technologies. Students are fortunate to have highly committed and talented faculty members. Dr. Mohan Babu informed the students to utilize the expertize of the teachers and the facilities available such as Incubation centre, student clubs in the campus to solve real time problems and to be the responsible citizens of this country.
