Karthi shoots for action sequences in Mysore
PS Mithran’s Sardar, starring Karthi in a double role, is a cop-action film. Needless to say, high-intensity action sequences will be an integral part of the movie. The team, which resumed shoot last month, is now in Mysore to can a big action block.
A source says, “They started this schedule with a shoot in the forest areas of Kodaikanal. Now, they are in Mysore for the last two days and are filming in forest areas, again. Mithran has roped in Dhilip Subbarayan master to choreograph the stunt sequences. Karthi is presently shooting for an action block, featuring the ‘father’ character; it will be more like a flashback, set a few decades ago. This will be a long schedule and the team will shift to Chennai next. They are hoping to wrap up the shoot by April or May.”
Mohammad Ali Baig joins the cast
Theatre artiste and docu filmmaker, Padma Shri Mohammad Ali Baig will be joining the cast of Sardar. The source says, “He plays an important role, as Chunky Panday’s mentor; his character helps link the past to the present.”
Baig, who will also be seen in Vikram’s Cobra, was on a short hiatus, spending time with his family, and will be returning to face the camera with Karthi’s film.
