DC Inspects Smart City Works

Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil instructed the Smart city officials to complete CBT work on time.

DC Nitesh Patil has instructed the concerned officers on Monday,  the work of the City Bus Stand (CBT) undertaken under the Smart City Project should be completed by December 2022.

The work has been delayed for eight months due to a space dispute regarding the space adjacent to the CBT. But now the space dispute has been resolved so the work has started. He said that the work should be accelerated and completed by December.

The work of the city bus stand is now in full swing and the construction of the 2-storey building is complete. Smart City Managing Director Dr Praveen Bagewadi informed that the work was delayed due to a dispute and will be completed within the stipulated period.

Inspection of Kalamandir’s work: DC also inspected the work of Kalamandir being constructed at Tilakwadi at a cost of Rs 46 crore.

DC Patil instructed that as the construction work of Kalamandir is almost complete, the rest of the work should also be completed by the end of December.

There is an injunction from the court regarding one side of the Kalamandir. Therefore, he directed the officials of the Smart City project to clear the injunction as soon as possible and take up the work there as well.

DC Patil further inspected the Club road (GST Office road) work of white topping and pavers (flooring) and said that the work should be completed by October.

He personally checked the quality of pavers installation and road work and gave instructions to do quality work.

Dr Praveen Bagewadi, Managing Director of Smart City Project, who was present on this occasion, said that work is being done to complete all the works within the stipulated time frame and the quality will be maintained.
