Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has said that permanent recruitment of civil servants is a historic decision which has not happened in any other state. Leaders of various organizations of civil servants reached the CM’s private residence in RT Nagar and spoke to the CM. He congratulated the Chief Minister on the government agreeing to fulfill many demands of the civil servants.
On this occasion the Chairman of Karnataka Safai Karmachari Commission M. Shivanna, Member of National Safai Karmachari Commission Jagdish Hiremani, Karnataka Safai Karmachari Development Corporation President H. Hanumanthappa and other leaders appreciated the CM’s decision. He requested to implement it as soon as possible. After listening to the pleas of the leaders, the CM said that the government will not ignore the legitimate demands. We know the hardships of civic workers. That is why we have agreed to fulfill your demand and said that the promises will be implemented.
Speaking to the media after being felicitated by the civil servants, the CM said that the civil servants have heartily welcomed the government’s decision and are attending work. A committee is being formed for the special recruitment of civil servants and the committee will have labor leaders, corporation presidents, office bearers and law department officials. He said that he expressed happiness over the decision to give approval to the non-permanent facilities and said that he would cooperate.
Civilian workers are working in worst conditions. Understanding their situation, a hardship relief of two thousand rupees has been given in the budget. He had faith in his mind that life would be temporary but good. So their long-standing demand has been fulfilled. He said that the process of permanentization has started.
