Foundation laid for heritage works and temple restoration

A major heritage development initiative will be launched in Lakkundi under the Gadag district administration, with foundation stones to be laid for conservation works at six monuments and the unveiling of ten temples and ten stepwells. The program is scheduled to take place on May 2 at 10:30 AM at the Halagundi Basaveshwara Temple premises. In a significant step toward preserving cultural heritage, the Gadag district administration, in association with the Zilla Panchayat, Tourism Department, Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, Mysuru, and the Lakkundi Heritage Area Development Authority, has organized a large-scale heritage development program.
