Must read

HUBLI

Chaitra Gangadhar Sanshi of Yaraguppi village of Kundaghola taluk reading MBBS in Kharkiv said the Government of India is working hard to protect the Indians even in the worst situation in Ukraine.

She arrived in the city on a flight from Bengaluru and spoke to media persons at the airport. Lunch in Ukraine was a long haul. Getting one meal a day was very difficult. She said that in the four days since the war began it was difficult to get even drinking water.
Some of us had planned leaving the National Medical University.  But it was abandoned after hearing Naveen’s death, she said.

Indians are more protected than other countries. In Ukraine, no Indian students were held hostage. We did not experience such acts.

 Chief Minister welcomes

CM Basavaraja Bommai gave a bouquet to Chaitra Sanshi who arrived in the country. Speaking to  media persons later, CM said, Chaitra was studying  third-year medical in Ukraine. Lots of students were stuck there. Among them, Chaitra stayed in the bunker there, walking 4-5 km down the road and arriving in the country by flight. The Embassy of India in Ukraine has helped the students to return. Chaitra's family was very scared. At that time the District Administration gave them courage.  Chaitra has come here with the blessings of God.
More than 200 students from India still live there. Prime Minister Modi has been trying to bring in those students.  Airlift is being taken up on a large.  4-5 countries bordering Ukraine have very good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  Sincere efforts are made to bring the mortal remains of Naveen, but  it depends on the war situation, he said.
