A police constable was seriously injured after a Rottweiler attacked him in Kalyan Nagar while he was on a routine errand. Sadashiva Ingalagavi (49), attached to the BDA Special Task Force, had stopped on 1st Main Road to take a call when the dog, allegedly unleashed and without a muzzle, attacked him from behind and bit his right leg. The constable said he fought back and called for help before the owner intervened. Hoysala patrol rushed him to hospital. Police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections and will issue notice to the owner.
